Bertan Ates
Structural Engineer
Bertan has just recently graduated from Coventry University as a Civil and Structural Engineer (BEng) and joined the team at SWJ on the 3rd August 2020. Bertan’s next aim is to become a Chartered Engineer with the IStructE. Being new to the industry Bertan is looking forward to developing his knowledge and skills as an engineer and is interested in learning new construction techniques and sustainable development.
Alongside structural engineering, Bertan is also interested in new discoveries in physics and innovative engineering concepts. He also takes an interest in historical events that lead to the rise and fall of empires.
Bertan participates in sports including swimming and basketball and whilst he was at university he learnt how to play the Bağlama which is a stringed musical instrument also known as a Saz and is the most common stringed instrument in Turkey.
